It all starts with the breath


Somatic Awareness = physical awareness. One of my personal biggest learning processes in Yoga is to feel where the emotion resides in the body.


You need to be able to feel the body first before you can do that. To have the capacity to dive within. This asks for training and starts with the breath. Do you experience stress or feel stressed? Sit down quietly and observe your breath. Where does it go, if it is high (in your chest), bring it to your abdomen (you can put your hands on your abdomen to physically feel the air going in and out (breathing in is abdomen out, breathing out is abdomen in). A moment of awareness of your breath and the neccesary bit of calm starts to come….
